The Heptagon series gets its name from the elegant heptagonal handle, which contributes both to the aesthetic appearance and the quality of these knives.

This Petty with its blade length of 150mm is not only extremely useful as a small knife, but you can also use it for "larger" kitchen tasks such as chopping onions or cleaning the veins from a piece of meat.

The blade is made in 3 layers, i.e. San-mai technique with VG10 steel in the middle. It is extremely thin ground and very precisely sharpened. The blade also features highly polished forging marks along the spine. All in all, it is a very well-made and high-quality knife that will surprise you with its performance.

The handle is in a unique but also comfortable heptagonal shape, suitable for both left-handed and right-handed users, it is made of two colors of pakka wood.

How to choose the first Japanese knife?

If you are buying your first Japanese knife, the advice is to choose a multifunctional blade shape that will cover the widest range of your needs in the kitchen. This includes Gyuto, Santoku and Bunka. The rule is that bigger people need bigger knives and vice versa.

Japanese knife as a perfect gift

Although in the culture of the Far East it is not recommended to give a blade as a gift because of the connection with cutting off good relations, they also could not resist the perfection of such a gift, so they devised a "trick" that allows them to gift knives without problems. Just ask for one coin from the person receiving the gift and in the eyes of strict superstition spirits it will be a fair exchange. Now no joke, a knife is a gift that unlike other transient things will be remembered forever because it will serve forever.
