When we sharpen knives, we want everything to be fixed and stable in order to get precise and correct results. The stone holder is designed to fix the whetstone and raise its height so that you can sharpen your knives comfortably and without interference.

It is made of non-slip rubber that remains stationary on all surfaces. In addition to the rubber part, the holder consists of a system of stainless steel rails and springs that serve to secure the stone. It is compatible with all types of grinding stones regardless of their dimensions and weight. In order to place the stone on the holder, it is enough to spread the springs with one hand while inserting the stone with the other, then relax the springs and you are ready to sharpen. Everything is done in just a few seconds.

This holder is made in Japan and is specially designed for both professional and hobbyist sharpening needs.

Note: this holder is suitable for stones from our offer.

    Sharpening Japanese knives

How to choose the first Japanese knife?

If you are buying your first Japanese knife, the advice is to choose a multifunctional blade shape that will cover the widest range of your needs in the kitchen. This includes Gyuto, Santoku and Bunka. The rule is that bigger people need bigger knives and vice versa.

Japanese knife as a perfect gift

Although in the culture of the Far East it is not recommended to give a blade as a gift because of the connection with cutting off good relations, they also could not resist the perfection of such a gift, so they devised a "trick" that allows them to gift knives without problems. Just ask for one coin from the person receiving the gift and in the eyes of strict superstition spirits it will be a fair exchange. Now no joke, a knife is a gift that unlike other transient things will be remembered forever because it will serve forever.
