The Arare series consists of traditional knives with tuschime hammer marks in the shape of small squares, creating a unique finish and distinctive appearance for each individual knife.

In Japan, the word Santoku means "three virtues" or "solution to 3 problems," referring to meat, fish, and vegetables. It is a favorite knife for households but is also appreciated by professionals for its height. With this knife, you will enjoy chopping fruits or vegetables, and it will not disappoint when preparing meat.

The SG2 steel from which the blade is made is produced using the most modern technological processes known to man, and its powdered structure allows it to retain sharpness for a very long time and to be easily re-sharpened.

The octagonal handle made of lightweight ebony with a ring-shaped white marble insert contributes to the luxurious appearance of this blade, providing a good grip with a slight center of gravity towards the tip of the blade.

How to choose the first Japanese knife?

If you are buying your first Japanese knife, the advice is to choose a multifunctional blade shape that will cover the widest range of your needs in the kitchen. This includes Gyuto, Santoku and Bunka. The rule is that bigger people need bigger knives and vice versa.

Japanese knife as a perfect gift

Although in the culture of the Far East it is not recommended to give a blade as a gift because of the connection with cutting off good relations, they also could not resist the perfection of such a gift, so they devised a "trick" that allows them to gift knives without problems. Just ask for one coin from the person receiving the gift and in the eyes of strict superstition spirits it will be a fair exchange. Now no joke, a knife is a gift that unlike other transient things will be remembered forever because it will serve forever.
