The Shinra series of hand-forged folding knives combines the design of ancient Japanese samurai swords with the new technologies of the most precise production and the contemporary distinctive Mcusta design.

The Japanese concept 森羅 (SHINRA) means "Nature," "Universe" or "All Creatures" and that symbolism is also reflected in the appearance of the knife. The blade is forged in 33 layers of Damascus stainless steel with a core of VG10 steel. Damascus on the blade resembles the bark of a tree and wood.

The comfortable handle is made of pakka wood with a relief shape and black color. The part of the handle that serves as a case for the blade is made of stainless steel.

Quick and safe handling: The spring-loaded mechanism allows for easy folding and unfolding. It comes in an elegant premium case made of Japanese hand-embroidered Nishijin brocade cloth.

Exclusive gift: Ideal for collectors, lovers of Japanese culture and those who appreciate a high-end tool with history and character.

How to choose the first Japanese knife?

If you are buying your first Japanese knife, the advice is to choose a multifunctional blade shape that will cover the widest range of your needs in the kitchen. This includes Gyuto, Santoku and Bunka. The rule is that bigger people need bigger knives and vice versa.

Japanese knife as a perfect gift

Although in the culture of the Far East it is not recommended to give a blade as a gift because of the connection with cutting off good relations, they also could not resist the perfection of such a gift, so they devised a "trick" that allows them to gift knives without problems. Just ask for one coin from the person receiving the gift and in the eyes of strict superstition spirits it will be a fair exchange. Now no joke, a knife is a gift that unlike other transient things will be remembered forever because it will serve forever.
