The Forge series of folding pocket knives combines the best techniques of traditional Japanese knifemaking, and every detail reflects Mcusta's renowned precision, superior craftsmanship and contemporary design.

An exclusive collection of knives inspired by the history of forging in Japan - elegant, powerful and unique. It features a hand-forged blade in 33 layers of Damascus stainless steel with a VG10 steel core. The wavy line of the damascus deliberately imitates the famous Hamon of traditional katana swords. On the blade we see the classic Tsuchima style finish, i.e. hammer marks that look like the knife was carved in stone. Traces of forging continue on the stainless steel handle.

The spring mechanism of the handle allows for quick and easy folding and unfolding, and this model also has a clip for safe keeping in the pocket. The buckle is not reversible, it is designed to be held by the right hand.

Exclusive gift: Ideal for collectors, lovers of Japanese culture and those who appreciate a high-end tool with history and character.

How to choose the first Japanese knife?

If you are buying your first Japanese knife, the advice is to choose a multifunctional blade shape that will cover the widest range of your needs in the kitchen. This includes Gyuto, Santoku and Bunka. The rule is that bigger people need bigger knives and vice versa.

Japanese knife as a perfect gift

Although in the culture of the Far East it is not recommended to give a blade as a gift because of the connection with cutting off good relations, they also could not resist the perfection of such a gift, so they devised a "trick" that allows them to gift knives without problems. Just ask for one coin from the person receiving the gift and in the eyes of strict superstition spirits it will be a fair exchange. Now no joke, a knife is a gift that unlike other transient things will be remembered forever because it will serve forever.
